Topline Agencies NZ was founded in 1995 when the company's director, Andi Uhl, saw a need in New Zealand for good quality, technical whitewater equipment.
Andi moved from Germany to New Zealand in 1992 and soon realised there was not much state-of-the-art kayaking equipment in the country, or only very hard to get. Being a whitewater kayaker with extensive experience gathered on European rivers in the 1980s and early 90s, he was very familiar with European brands.
The first imported line (around 1993) was Schlegel Paddles, back in the days "the bees knees" of whitewater paddles. In 1995 Palm Equipment was added to the range, offering paddlers in New Zealand for the first time reliable and long-term supply of dry and semi-dry jackets and European-style buoyancy aids through a network of retail shops. More brands were added over time, with an emphasis on European designed equipment (hf, Robson, Ty Warp, Sweet, Eskimo, etc.). Some North American lines were added since 2001 (Predator Helmets, Shred Ready, etc.).

We have always chosen suppliers that manufacture good quality gear and stand 100% behind their product. This allows us to provide New Zealand paddlers with a choice of some of the best equipment on the market, and provide excellent support in the unlikely event that things go wrong with an article.
We still supply shops around the country with gear and plan to do this for many more years, allowing you to track down the gear you need close to where you live.

This website also provides you and dealers with an up-to-date brochure of all available equipment. This site is always accessible and with new products arriving it will be updated when necessary.
